COLD HAND CHEMISTRY with producer/engineer Fernando Perdigao, with whom the band has now forged a solid musical relationship, returned to studio. The band was also approached by “Metal 4 Africa” to play on the metal stage at the “Ram Fest IV” in February. “Ram Fest” was sadly Dean’s farewell gig with Cold Hand Chemistry. Geoff debuted as their new bassist on the 29th of May at the “Bludjinn Fest” hosted by “Muzone”.
2011 was mainly focused on working on the album “Gathering Crows”, however Cold Hand Chemistry took some time out from the studio when invited to perform the “Metal4Africa WinterFest’11” at the Klein Libertas theatre in Stellenbosch. On the 30th November 2011 the first single, “Do you see me (Hex)” from the debut album “Gathering Crows” was released. It was received with great response and is currently playlisted on radio stations both locally and internationally. The single was received with great reviews and to record online streams across several digital platforms.
The debut album “Gathering Crows” will be released in April/May 2012. The band has also teamed up with some awesome film makers to produce the first two videos of the album. The first being “Angel Suicide” in April by Tunnelvision, followed by “Do you See me (Hex) which will be produced by the multi award winning BlackMilk Productions in May/June 2012.
