Cold Hand Chemistry, based in Table View South Africa, was founded in November 2006. The original line up was, David - Keyboards & Percussion, Stuart - guitar, Dean - bass and Ryan - drums with Chantel -Vocals.
2007
Stuart left Cold Hand Chemistry and was replaced by Donovan on guitar. Cold Hand Chemistry rocked the east coast with local band 12th Avenue during the “Rock and Roll Circus” tour in December of 2007. They also performed at the “Africa Burns Festival”.
2008
In 2008, “Angel Suicide” was recorded. The single was released, on UCT and MFM radio stations as well as on line. Towards the end of 2008 Cold Hand Chemistry were back in studio to start on their debut album. November 2008 Ameer was recruited to explore a possible new musical dynamic on guitar.

At the end of January 2009, Ryan left Cold Hand Chemistry. Robert freshly returned from the UK became the new drummer for the band. The band entered the “The Eye of Rock Competition” hosted by “The Eye of Horus” along with “Magic Hour Productions” and the “Durex Ultimate Battle of the Bands” hosted by “Authentic Ideas”. Ameer left the band in November to pursue his solo career.

COLD HAND CHEMISTRY with producer/engineer Fernando Perdigao, with whom the band has now forged a solid musical relationship, returned to studio. The band was also approached by “Metal 4 Africa” to play on the metal stage at the “Ram Fest IV” in February. “Ram Fest” was sadly Dean’s farewell gig with Cold Hand Chemistry. Geoff debuted as their new bassist on the 29th of May at the “Bludjinn Fest” hosted by “Muzone”.
2011
2011 was mainly focused on working on the album “Gathering Crows”, however Cold Hand Chemistry took some time out from the studio when invited to perform the “Metal4Africa WinterFest’11” at the Klein Libertas theatre in Stellenbosch. On the 30th November 2011 the first single, “Do you see me (Hex)” from the debut album “Gathering Crows” was released. It was received with great response and is currently playlisted on radio stations both locally and internationally. The single was received with great reviews and to record online streams across several digital platforms.
2012
The debut album “Gathering Crows” will be released in April/May 2012. The band has also teamed up with some awesome film makers to produce the first two videos of the album. The first being “Angel Suicide” in April by Tunnelvision, followed by “Do you See me (Hex) which will be produced by the multi award winning BlackMilk Productions in May/June 2012.
